| Organic Solutions, Inc. was founded in Spring 2003 as a companion company to Bayles Garden Center & Nursery Inc. BGC has been a fixture in Port Washington, NY, for over 35 years. We are a full service garden center offering annuals, perennials, nursery stock as well as hard goods. (Bayles is a True Value Home & Garden Showplace store). Bayles is also an authorized Outdoor Power Equipment Dealer for most major brands and services and we warranty everything that we sell. There are many reasons why Organic Solutions, Inc. was started and continues to grow as the most exciting part of our business. We’re lucky to be living in a time and place where the pendulum is turning and we are all looking for a healthier wa y to live all facets of our lives. The spark for Organic Solutions was ignited after our father attended a series of classes offered by Jeff Frank, founder of The Nature Lyceum School of Organic Horticulture in Westhampton, NY. He came back and insisted that Management and Staff attend the classes. We came back stoked, looking at things a little differently, and excited about our roles as stewards of our environment. A definite shift in our paradigm.
Our goal at Organic Solutions is to provide the best possible Organic Lawn, Tree and Shrub programs for our clients. We constantly continue to research and learn all we can about Organics and apply it to our horticultural practices.
There are many misconceptions about Organic programs. One is that they are more expensive than chemical- based programs. This simply isn’t so. Inorganic fertilizers and pesticides are mostly oil-based and we all know about oil prices. Some say that Organics just don’t work. We say they are wrong.
